GREEN DAY CELEBRATION AT MINDLABS

Green is just not a colour anymore. It is a symbol of ecology. It also symbolises fertility, harmony, growth and freshness. Today, green is universally associated with nature and environment. People all over the world have started their awareness and importance of protecting nature and environment.

We, at Mindlabs Academy too, planned to instil the importance of “Saving Our Planet, Earth”. We celebrated “Green Day” on Friday, 22^nd April, 2016. Our theme was “GO GREEN. SAVE EARTH”. This celebration was mainly for our children at our Kindergarten. This was to impart and create the awareness of “Green”.

We, had organized a theme party Green. The Kindergarten children were asked to come in the theme colour costume. They had also brought various green coloured things like bitter gourd, green apples, okras, green chillies, etc. They were given green coloured dough to make various items out of it. Various other activities like hand printing, colouring and dancing for music were organised. The children not only enjoyed the day, but also learnt the importance of saving our environment. The objective of the exercise was not only to have a fun and enjoyable day but to instil and nurture global citizens of the future that will be more conscious about the environment.
